The UNDP-funded assignment titled “Development and Delivery of a Training of Trainers (ToT) Curriculum and Toolkit on Gender-Responsive, Climate-Resilient Livelihoods, and Refresher Training on Gender-Sensitive Climate Change Action” is implemented under the Gender-Responsive Coastal Adaptation (GCA) Project, financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) with co-financing from the Government of Bangladesh, and executed by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA) and the Department of Women Affairs (DWA) with UNDP Bangladesh as the client. The assignment has been awarded to IPTM as the service provider, for a duration of six (06) months—from November 2025 to April 2026. The overall objective of the assignment is to strengthen institutional capacity for scenario-based, gender-responsive, and climate-resilient adaptive livelihood planning by developing and delivering a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) curriculum and toolkit, and revising and conducting refresher trainings for MoWCA and DWA personnel. The assignment will cover a total of 350 participants, including government and institutional representatives across fifteen (15) training batches—comprising two ToT batches on adaptive livelihood planning, five ToT batches on toolkit application, and eight refresher training batches on gender-sensitive climate change action
Description of actual services provided by our Staff:
- Prepare the Inception Report outlining methodology, work plan, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation strategy following consultations with UNDP, MoWCA, and DWA officials.
- Conduct extensive desk review and field assessments through 30 FGDs and 30 KIIs in Khulna and Satkhira districts to identify institutional capacity gaps and local adaptation needs.
- Develop climate-livelihood impact scenarios (2030, 2040, 2050) integrating gender dimensions and produced a detailed institutional mapping and capacity assessment report for relevant agencies.
- Design a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) curriculum and a bilingual (Bangla and English) practical toolkit on gender-responsive and climate-resilient adaptive livelihood planning.
- Organize five district-level and one national validation workshop, gathered stakeholder feedback, and finalized the ToT curriculum and toolkit in line with UNDP and MoWCA standards.
- Conduct 15 training batches engaging 350 participants, including 2 ToT sessions, 5 Toolkit ToTs, and 8 refresher trainings on Gender-Sensitive Climate Change Action for MoWCA and DWA staff.
- Develop and disseminated technical briefs, multimedia materials, and 10 case stories, and printed 300 high-quality copies of the finalized toolkit for institutional use and visibility.
- Submit all deliverables including inception, field, validation, and final completion reports, with comprehensive documentation, lessons learned, and digital archives in compliance with UNDP reporting and branding guidelines.
