Training Program titled ‘Information and Communication Technology in Agriculture’ in Thailand under Agriculture Information Service (AIS)

Narrative Description of the Project:

IPTM, the Institute of Professional Training and Management, took a significant stride in advancing agriculture information practices in Thailand by organizing a specialized training program titled 'Information and Communication Technology in Agriculture.' This initiative aimed to propel the modernization of Agriculture Information Service and support the Digital Agriculture Information and Communication Strengthening Project, led by the Agriculture Information Service (AIS) of the Ministry of Agriculture. There were 10 (ten) participants along with 01 (one) farmer in this training program. They learn how to develop agriculture using modern technology and ICT tools from the Thai agriculture information expert, relevant government officials and farmers. They were aimed to replicate there learning from Thailand in the context of Bangladesh for the development of agriculture. It was held in Thailand (Bangkok and outskirts) from June- July 2019.

  • Collection of Government Order (G.O.) and Note Verbal
  • Identification of program objectives
  • Assistance for Passport renewal or issue, visa processing and Air-ticket
  • Health and travel insurance assistance
  • Pre-departure formalities 
  • Airport Coordination and accommodation arrangement
  • Arranged Welfare guide & translator and land surface transport
  • Arranged refreshment, working lunch with welcome and closing dinner
  • Orientation to the course / program
  • Arrangement of expert-led training session
  • Arrangement of the appointments, meetings and field visit with relevant officials
  • Sightseeing and cultural tours
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the program
